Random blog alert..

I forgot to mention that hubby surprised me with some perfume last week. 

I've never heard of it, but it smells good!

 Love me some hubby, he is so sweet!

So in prepartion for this wedding, I've already contacted one of my friends that works at MAC to do my eye makeup. Whenever I have a big party or event to go to, I love to have my eye make up done. I don't get the whole face done bc I am pretty happy with doing my own foundation, blush, etc. Plus it's cheaper. They usually want you to buy at least $30 worth of product, sometimes less depending on the artist. Most aren't sticklers for this, so I may pay $20 for some lashes and keep it movin. lol.

So I LOVE how all the girls at MAC are so creative with their makeup. I haven't had a need to have any wild colors so I typically go with a simple smokey eye or neutral colors. 

This is a bad pic of me (hate the angle), but the eye makeup was fabulous.  I asked for the Kim Kardashian smokey eye! I'm not a fan of the neutral lip (on myself) though.
This was is probably my fav bc they also did my eyebrows. It completes the look in my opinion! Make sure you have them do your eyebrows if you ever get your eye make up done!

This is back in 2008 for my friend's 30th birthday party.

I was loving that red hair!

We went to the MAC counter in Tampa and that was the first time I had a guy do my makeup & he did a great job! I told him the dress I was wearing had red & yellow in it, and he said he knew what to do!

So I lied earlier about the crazy colors....we threw an 80s party so it was my excuse to go crazy!

I need some make up help. 

I've watched countless youtube videos on this subject and I still can't get it.

I have a terrible case of red eye bc I stare at a computer for 12+ hours a day.

I need a dress!

I FINALLY get to be a GUEST at a wedding next month instead of the photographer! Hallelujah!

I am so excited to be able to dress up, eat, drink, & dance at a wedding without having to work.

So now I've been searching everywhere for a dress- that is decently priced. I love several dresses I found online at Nordstrom...but good googly moogly, those things are expensive.

I may go with something I already have in the closet that I wore only once.

But here are some of the others I am thinking about...

I adore the sparkles on this one, but it may be too much for the wedding I'm attending!

Christina...fat?

I am annoyed with Kelly Osbourne calling Christina Augilera fat.

Really Kelly?

Yes, Christina has gained weight, but so what!

Guess what people...it happens.

I give Kelly credit...she has lost major weight & looks good, but don't forget where you came from Kelly:

And yes Christina, you were wrong for talking smack about Kelly...but the weight you have gained isn't all that bad. It's ok to have curves. In fact, to me you look better with a little weight on ya!

My First Blog Award!

Yesterday I received my first blog award from Jess at Pretty Physicist!

Reasons to Blog

Everyone has different reasons that they blog. Some to have a personal family journal, some are just random, some are to gripe, etc. Well I've mentioned before that my friend Mike Hicks started a blog called Think Outside the Box & Read Between the Lines...and do it.

He is hilarious writing skills! He used to blog on myspace and we've always told him to start a blog. So back in July and he's already been contacted by HBO! Not to offer him a job, but just to let him know they love his writing and sense of humor. They told him they'd be checking in on his blog from time to time too! Isn't that AMAZING!!

So again, if you want really want a good laugh, I urge you to read to his blog. He will have you laughing your ass off, literally.

My point of this is to write what you feel like writing. Be yourself. There are so many boring blogs out there already, and everyone is saying or doing the same things. If you want to be noticed (if that's even your goal) just write about what makes you happy. Don't worry about the # of followers you have. Mike only has 15 followers and he's only had 19 posts! 

 

You never know whose reading your blog! :)
