Chocolate Banana Parfait

The other day I made chocolate banana parfaits...recipe from Dworianyn Love Nest!

It was SOOOO good...but...

The greedy side of me put this in one large glass versus smaller glasses as seen on her blog.

And it was waaaay too much for one person.

Hubby & I had to share, LOL!

Working From Home

I FINALLY got officially hooked up to start working from home on Friday. Although it took all day so on Friday I only worked for 2 hours. But today was my first full day, and I LOVE IT!

I still don't care for the job itself, but working from home makes things much easier to deal with.

It was great to be able to out to the living room and take Bebe outside on my breaks and have lunch with the hubby today since he's off on Mondays

I have to move my personal keyboard over while working, and vice versa when I get off.

  But, I'll make it work! No complaints here! :)

I've Fallen & I Can't Get up!

Sorry again for the lack of blogging!

This past weekend was crazy.

Saturday we celebrated the hubby's grandmother's 81st birthday.

More on that in another post.

Sunday...I slipped while stepping out of the shower and landed on my head.

OUCH!

We had just mopped the floor and moved the bath mat so I literally

did a split coming out of the shower & then somehow managed to land on my head 

& my whole right side of my body.

I screamed for hubby & he said he thought I was just yelling for some TP so he didn't rush! lol.

When he saw me sprawled out on the floor he went in to doctor mode.

Luckily there was no blood.

Just a LOT of pain.  

My first thought was of Natasha Richardson dying in the skiing accident.

Then my second thought went to breast cancer because of how hard I landed on my right side.

And the reason I thought of cancer was because I read somewhere about how it is thought that cancer is caused by traumatic injuries. 

So now I am super paranoid.

I went to an an urgent care center & I passed several neurological tests (I felt like I was doing the macarena to be completely honest. 

The doctor (who looked like he was 25 years old)was just giving me this odd smirk the entire time. He kept saying he didn't think I needed an xray and that I would be ok. He kept asking, "Sooo...do you want some pain meds or something?" I felt like he thought I was an addict! So even though I did want some pain meds, I said no. I just bought some OTC 500mg Bayer which did the trick.  

I was VERY annoyed.

Also...while in the waiting room there was a young couple arguing. Apparently while the boyfriend was being seen by the doctor, it started raining. The girlfriend didn't notice and he was mad because he left his sunroof open. He started fussing at her in the waiting area. He was dropping F-bombs left & right.  There was an old lady in the room who got upset & said "EXCUSE ME!" And the guy turned around and said "You can excuse yourself." And she said "You need to take that language outside." And he said, "You better learn your place before I put you in your place." And the girlfriend calmed the guy down & the nurse called the old lady in to be seen.

Even as the lady went to the back, the couple continued to argue until they finally called him for his prescription & they left.  When I went to be seen, the lady came out & talked to my hubby before she left. She said she just couldn't take the arguing and the way he was talking to her because she had been in an abusive relationship. She said she was scared that the guy was gonna hurt her. My hubby reassured her that if that guy had gotten up he would have intervened. 

Hubby says he thought he was on "What would you do?" LOL!

Thankfully I am feeling better. 

Still sore in certain places, but no scratches or bruises.

Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend! 

We spent the weekend in Panama City Beach.

Hubby & I along with my brother & his girlfriend and another friend and her son went.

I loved having a weekend of having absolutely nothing to do.

Our first stop was at Pineapple Willy's of course.

After we lounged on the beach we called it a night.

We woke up early & the sun & moon were both out!

After lunch we spent the rest of the day at the beach lounging.

The water was WAY too cold for me.

I don't know how but hubby & brother decided they would get in anyways.

I am anti-sun so I was under the beach tent reading trashy magazines & sippin on this

frozen pineapple Pina Colada from Bikini Bob's!

I spotted this on the beach.

Don't ask me what the hell it is...I still don't know!

Yes, it is covering his face, hands, legs...his entire body!

Our last night in PCB we did some shopping & eating in Piers Park.

I got a cute new cross body bag that I plan to take to Hawaii.

We walked around & then called it a night.

At about 3am, the sirens in the condo started going off.

Someone reported smoke from a unit & they were trying to evacuate the building.

This meant walking down 13 flights!

We kind of lingered around because we saw security & he told us he thinks it was a false alarm.

Thank God it was nothing! I would have passed out going down 13 flights! lol!

All in all it was a fabulous relaxing weekend!

Although we didn't realize it was the official 2012 Spring Break for high schools.

So the city was packed with hormonal teens! lol!

NU-DI-TY

I knew that title would get some attention!

But lucky for you, it's not what you're thinking.

I went "natural" with my nails a few months ago to help with my 

saving efforts for our trips to Hawaii & Vegas this year.

So today I decided to try a nude manicure & I love it!

The color is called Incognito but I can't remember the brand of polish.

It's a bit light now that I see it in these pics.

In person it looks a lot better!

I think I'll try either MAC or OPI's nude options next time.

Show Stoppers Fashion Tape

I tried this fashion tape called Show Stoppers over the weekend.

Initially I thought it was the next best thing since sliced bread!

I HATE when bra straps show!

This top's straps are in an awkward area where I have to typically use safety pins 

or wear a  little light cardi with it.

Well, it's too hot in GA for cardis so I decided to try this Show Stoppers Fashion Tape.

I still had it as one of my samples from Birch Box.

So here is the before pic.

And here is the immediate after. 

Couldn't be more perfect, huh?

As long as you don't move, you're good to go. 

Within the hour I was tucking my straps back in. 

I was so annoyed because I didn't have my cardi with me.

I think this would probably be great for button up shirts that gap- maybe not so much for 

"fuller" women though. Catch my drift?

And honestly, $9.99 for this crap- not worth it in my opinion.

I can probably get some from a local store for much less & cut my own strips. LOL!

Weekend Recap

I had a very interesting & entertaining weekend!

Friday the hubby & I just hung out at home as normal.

We ordered in & watched our typical Friday night shows- to include "What Would You Do?"

We also found out we didn't win the lottery as anticipated, 

so our celebration trip to Vegas was cancelled.

Saturday afternoon I went to a football game for my friend's son.

Then hung out with my mom & she taught me how to make some Korean dishes!

Saturday night, I was hired to shoot a 30th Birthday party.

This was no ordinary party.

Turns out it was an Alter Ego Party.

There was a host who gave the attendees lessons on "pleasing your man" to put it nicely.

She taught women how to be sexy, how to dance like a stripper, and...

let's just say there were bananas involved in the "lesson."

I literally laughed my ass off the entire time!

I learned a lot but I felt awkward taking photos of ladies in these "positions"

 and with bananas in their mouths.

After the party, hubby & I went to the Spring Fling.

Basically a mini carnival.

We just went for the food & to walk around.

Sunday we went to the in-laws house & hung out for a bit.

Then we had dinner & went to our local River Walk.

Our city is in the process of constructing a whitewater course.

It was nice to go down there & see so many people just out & about with their families.

This is going to bring lots of tourism here & white water enthusiasts!

I'm just thinking of a way to get in the action- business wise that is.

I've got a few ideas & plans in motion for a new business venture! :)

I'm hoping this upcoming short week flys by!
My company is supposed to HOPEFULLY come out & hook me up to begin working from home.
I am getting SO impatient!
